This 1920's dormer bungalow sits within a large plot with landscaped gardens to front and rear. Our client required additional living, dining and kitchen space on the ground floor with master bedroom & en-suite at first floor.

Our response to the brief was to provide large open plan accommodation at ground floor with a glazed oak framed element which provides a link and views to the garden beyond. At first floor a new bedroom space is linked to the existing building via a glazed ‘bridge' with views down into the dining room below.

A limited palette of materials including the oak, render and stone feature chimney tie the extension back to the existing building whilst providing modern family accommodation which retains a cosy feel.

Contemporary extension in Leeds submitted for planning approval

This sleek design for a kitchen extension to a property in north Leeds has been submitted for planning approval this week. The simple form of the building and limited materials palette creates crisp aesthetics whilst the use of glass in the walls and roof flood the internal spaces with natural light.
